PLASTIC BLOOD GAS CAPILLARIES
- Blood Gas Capillaries are made of fracture-proof, chemically neutral plastics therefore avoid risks of injuries or infections
during the blood collection procedure
- The capillaries are evenly coated with 50 l.U. balanced heparin
- They can be sealed with closing caps
- The capillaries are available in sizes ranging from 5 µl to 285 µl
- Special sizes can be manufactured according your requirements
- Capillaries up to a length to 120 mm are packed in dispenser tubes. Capillaries longer than 120 mm are packed in poly bags.
- One packing unit consists of 10 x 100 pieces.
ACCESSORIES FOR CAPILLARY BLOOD COLLECTION
In addition to the blood gas accessories, the following accessories are available:
- closing caps
- mixing wires
- mixing magnets
- luer adaptors
- wax sealing plates
- sterile lancets
- capillary holders.
BLOOD GAS SAMPLING SYSTEM A-K-FIX & LUER CANNULA
- This Blood Gas Sampling Systems serve as an arterial extraction
device for
pH / Blood gas
Electrolytes
Co-oximetry
Metabolic analysis
- The devices are coated with approx. 100 I.U. balanced lithium heparin.
- For single use only
- Due to the AUTOSTOP action, the blood flow stops automatically
- One test set consists of 1 luer adaptor, 2 closing caps and a
heparinised plastic capillary with volume 200 µl, outer diameter 2,35 mm and length 130 mm.
- The capillary is made of fracture proof, gas impermeable material
- The test set will be supplied sterile and packed single.
BLOOD GAS SAMPLING SYRINGES
- The Blood Gas Sampling Syringes serve as an arterial extraction device for pH / Blood Gas, Electrolytes, Co-oximetry and
- Metabolic analysis.
- The syringes are coated with approx. 50 I.U.
balanced heparin
- For single use only
- Supplied in individual sterile packages
- Available in 1 ml or 2 ml sizes, the low volume ideal for preventing the introduction of air bubbles in the syringes which can adversely affect blood gas results

COMFORT SAMPLER—BLOOD GAS COLLECTION DEVICE
- Capillary type blood gas collection device ideal for Paediatric; Neonatal or Geriatric patients or any patient presenting with a difficult bleed
- The Comfort sampler consists of 2 capillaries each coated with Balanced heparin to prevent clotting and so provide accurate results
- Capillary action allows samples to be collected with minimal effort and holds a total of 240µl, enough sample to be analysed on most blood gas analysers
- The capillaries are protected by a plastic housing, this prevents any transfer of heat from the fingers to the sample and confines any breakages reducing the risk of infection and contamination
- Micro-thin needles reduce patient trauma and discomfort
and reduce the risk of patient haematoma
- Integrated needle protector to improve user safety

Opti CCA Blood Gas Analyser
- Portable critical care analyser employing a single use cartridge
- Cassettes have different configurations for operator convenience
and can measure the following parameters -pH pCO2 -pO2 -Saturated O2
-Glucose -Chloride
and calculates another 15 parameters
- Cassesttes are stored at room temperature
- Easy to use, step wise procedure displayed on LCD screen
- Barcode technology ensures all components used are within expiry and
informs analyser of calibration values and cassettes configuration
- Sample aspiration is automatic from either a syringe or capillary
- The sample measurinf chamber is pre-heated to 37C to allow improved
accuracy of results
- No wastage; when the instrument is not in use - no gas or fluidsare used
therefore reducing costs
- Maintenance is minimal, no electrodes or solutions to refill or monitor
- Results are displayed on screen and printed on built-in-thermal printer
