  
KAT Medical is a local company originally founded in 1996 by Keith Dodkins, who is still currently at the helm and director of the organization.
The origin of the company name KAT is derived from 3 names: Keith; Adam, Keith’s son and Tracey, Keith’s daughter, taking the initials of each name and there we go - the KAT is borne.
Keith is also an avid wild-life animal enthusiast, therefore the choice of the Caracal as the company emblem.
The company motto of “Committed to Care” emphasizes the high level of products and service that the company endeavor to provide to the all important customers.
KAT Medical is a diagnostic company with a team comprising approximately fifteen staff members. The sales team are all qualified Medical technologists with over 85 years of experience in the Medical diagnostic field.
The company has nationwide coverage with the head-office in Gauteng, situated in Roodepoort, and branches in Kwazulu-Natal; Western Cape and Lesotho. Additional branches are being established in various African countries, namely: Zambia; Kenya; Ghana and Botswana.
The service department has engineers which are factory trained by the individual agents and can therefore
provide educated and advanced back-up service for all the products sold. The service engineers are located in all the branches and two at the head office.
We are proud to offer a comprehensive and ever expanding range of diagnostic products for the laboratory, hospitals, emergency rooms and doctors rooms.
